M3 Motorway, (near Hill of Tara)

The M3 Motorway runs near to an important national monument, so it was essential to show the development accurately in its
environment. D3D were employed to produce a full 3D environment model of over 3000 acres. Using Aerial Mapping we
accurately surveyed and modelled every tree, fence, pole, hedge line and building along with the ground profile. The
mathematically accurate model was able to show views from all the necessary locations, to prove the designers' assertion that
the impact would be negligible. A final presentation was prepared as a DVD with full commentary. We also produced a
composite model which was presented to the Oireachtas (Irish National Parliament).
